Make a Skeleton That Doesn't Suck!

Below are step-by-step instructions for building a skeleton that doesn't suck. (OK, it's really more of a corpse by the time you're done with it. In any event, it will suck less than when you bought it for $8.00.) It's based on the one at www.Spookyblue.com. Click on an image below for a larger view. I didn't take a lot of pictures when I did this project so these are not complete instructions. For more info, check out the www.spookyblue.com link.

Step 1

Get a cheap plastic skeleton from Wal-Mart (This one is lying on top of some junk. Just ignore it.)

Step 2

Cover it with carpet adhesive and paper towels/newspaper. You can also use duct or masking tape where necessary. Note that I cut out his eyes. (Ouch!)

Step 3

Make recesses where the eyes were from paper towels and carpet adhesive. Once the adhesive dries, color the whole thing with a variety of wood stains.
